After fiddling with this some more, I realize now it's very easy to copy and paste text into the Documents tab in AC. No need to import/export text anymore.
I know it's been a while since I tried this but I can't find a way to export all Pages, including the ones with no text. I've created Documents and added 10 blank pages for each Document but the blank pages aren't exporting. Suggestions?
