Hey Erwin, nice to see a fellow dutchie on the forums here! And congrats on your game, it looks very cool. Bit of dutch pride in there with the windmill, nice ;)
Looks rad Shaun! This may be the best way to get into Adventure Creator, remaking an existing project, so you can just focus on how it compares technically. Good luck with it and looking forward to what you make with AC next :)
@ChrisIceBox I checked the notes yeah, LOTS of changes to catch up on :)And about the setgeometry, simply put: I had everything in a scene positioned on Z-depth 0 and used sorting layers to seperate things. But in 1.45 it seems like characters ignor…
Hey Chris, another great update! Good to see it all works well with Unity 5. I just ugraded my project from 1.42 + Unity 4.6 over to the latest version of everything, and nothing really broke!
There were some weird things following changes in the w…
I've seen this too in Unity 5, though on a project I wasn't using AC for, and I managed to solve it by raising the step offset in the Character Controller. I'm not sure what that does or how that relates back to something that can be set in AC, but …
Sounds awesome! Before this came out I was planning to first upgrade my AC 1.40 in Unity 4.6.3 before moving the project over to Unity 5, is that still the best way to go for this release too?
Man I can sympathise, when something acts weird like that without any clear indication you're ready to tear your hair out. Are you on Unity 5? I had a similar experience last week after upgrading (not an AC project btw) because Unity deprecated the …
PlayMaker integration would be a pretty good idea actually. It is another plugin to rely on, costlier than Dialogue System, but I think Playmaker is much more widespread and much further along in development in terms of stability and such. We used i…
Seconded. The dialogue system in AC feels like it hasn't been iterated on as much as the other features. I found it hard to parse for the same reason you mentoined, having branching dialogue is hard to map out as it is, and by fragmenting the workfl…
I think what you're asking for already exists - if you go into the AC Actions manager, there is a dropdown there to select which action is the default when you create a new interaction. I have mine set to Dialogue: Play Speech too :) Hope that helps!
