  • Sorry, I meant "Player line".

When you check that box, the fields that appear will be based on your character's Animation engine.  What animation options are you looking for, exactly?
  • Hello Chris,
I am not sure what you are asking me.
I want the 3d model to be lip synced(while waw file plays back) when I press a button.
I almost pulled that off (by using Salsa asset with AC) but the prob is that AC does not remember when I drag the player into Speaker field. When I check "Player line" checkbox,I get Line text(something is written),Dont animate speak(not checked),Head and Mouth animation(both have none animation clips),play in background(not checked),Wait time offset(zero),After running(continue).

                                                                                                Thanks in advance,John

Again, do not drag the player into the Speaker field - check "Player line?" instead.  This will reference whatever Player prefab you've dragged into your Player field at the top of the Settings Manager.

You can ignore the head and mouth animation fields if you are only relying on Salsa 3D for your lipsyncing.
  • Hello Chris,
    Thanks for the help!
1)You said "You need to have the character in the scene as either an NPC or a Player, that uses the FBX file as a model."Just to double check.Does this mean that I have to create an empty object, rename it to some name, add player component into it and THEN drag 3d character(FBX)into it?
2)I checked "Player line?".However,in game, buttons after pressed were just starting waw files playback,3d character was not lip synced with the waw playback.Any advices please?

                                                                                                 Thanks in advance,John

  • Hello Chris,
Could you please give me any advices on previous 2 questions?

                                                                                            Thanks in advance,John
  • 1) The other way around - drag the model file into the scene, then add the Player component / player tag etc.  A series of tutorials on creating characters are available here.

    2) Salsa 3D is separate to AC - you won't find any controls for Salsa 3D on any AC component or Action, because none are needed.  So long as there's a Salsa 3D component on your model, that links to the AudioSource on your character's root object, it should work.
