where can i find instructions an examples of how to customize menus with my own graphics? I changed some, but the default are still there. Also the placement and size won't change.

  • A tutorial on customising the default interface can be found here.

The exact process for making visual changes to your Menu depends on its Source property in the Menu Manager.

If it's set to Adventure Creator, then the controls to adjust size/graphics etc are all there within the Menu Manager. You can preview how they look by keeping the Game window open at the time.

If it's instead set to Unity Ui Prefab, then Menus are rendered using Unity UI prefabs, referenced at the bottom of the Menu's properties. You can open up these asset files to make changes as you would with any regular UI Canvas prefab.

If you've made changes but they don't seem to be reflected at runtime, share some screenshots and I'll try to spot what's wrong.

  • Awesome, thanks Chris. Let me take a look at what you sent, see if I can't figure it out, and then I'll let you know. Appreciate how helpful you are man.

  • So, I think I got it all basically figured out. Some stuff I will have to toy with when I work on that part of the game. At this point the issue I'm having is with the cursor. I have it on "Not" animated, and made sure the right prefab is in the AC Editor. I have added and changed cursors, but I can't seem to get rid of or change the basic mouse pointer cursor, that default arrow, Am I missing something, or does that not have an option to change or turn off. Thanks

  • Nevermind, seems like it's just my mouse also showing in the program, it's gone when I test with a build. Anyone know how to have it hide when in game mode, so I only see the ones for AC?

  • You can uncheck the Cursor Manager's Always show system cursor in Editor? to hide the default cursor when testing in the Editor.

  • I thought I tried that one, maybe missed it. Thanks again Chris, I'll check it out.
