Inventory interaction doesn't behave as intended

Hello,

I suppose this is a simple one, maybe I just lost my way through settings and manual.

I want my inventory interactions to behave like this:

  • select an item in the inventory by clicking the left mouse button once (not drag/drop)
  • the item (or an image of it) should now hover and move with the cursor
  • clicking a hotspot in that state causes the defined inventory interaction to take place

I think that's how the demo works and that's how it worked for me. Unfortunately it doesn't any more. After one of the recent updates, inventory interactions (seemingly) suddenly became part of the hotspot interaction menu in my scene. I managed to turn that off, but I didn't get inventory interactions back to working like mentioned above.

Here's a screenshot of my settings:

Sorry if this is way too easy to fix on my own. I'm sure it's a user error on my side.

Thanks for this great software tool and thanks in advance for any helpful pointers.

  • SOLVED - I just rewatched the 2d primer and noticed, that the way inventory interaction works here functions if interaction method is set to "context sensitive". Indeed, it does, silly me.
