Question about persistent inventory...

Hi there! First of all, sorry if this is a dumb question.

I've been playing with AC on and off for a while now and just decided to get serious about it. But then I ran into a roadblock. Is it true that there's no persistent inventory? I've looked through the manual, written tutorials and video tutorials, and have basically just figured out how to get a character to pick something up. However, if my character picks an item up and then enters another room, their inventory is wiped, and I can't find any way to stop that from happening.

I saw that someone else asked this question a couple of weeks ago, but it didn't seem like they got an answer about the inventory question specifically, just their dialogue question.

    Welcome to the forum, @jkci.

Having inventory survive scene changes is a crucial part of any adventure game, and AC handles this all for you.  The dialogue question was a separate issue and unrelated.

It's not clear what the cause of this problem is - whether it be your version, the menus, etc.  First off, be sure to use the latest version - 1.42c.  Then, try swapping out your Menu Manager with the demo game's - Demo_MenuManager.  What's the result then?
