Greets!
I'm in the makin of an open-world 3D game, wich would combine rpg, survival and adventure genre. I'm now wonderin wether AC would permit to implement stats and skills, as well as basics needs and craftin, or at least get easily and safely integrated with other templates such as cat rpg builder or ultimate survival?
That's it, fun! ![]()

Welcome to the community, @cedric.
It's not the genre that AC is intended for - particularly the open-world aspect.
AC can handle stats and inventory/crafting, but they are a common feature of other assets and you would need to be well-versed in AC (and scripting) if you were looking to merge it with other assets.
Especially if you're new to AC, I would recommend starting with a separate asset that handles the main aspects such as the RPG/survival/open-world elements.
Ok, found this asset: Survival Properties System, wich is light weighted and should be enought to cover stats and needs, if i manage to get it started. Speakin of startin, should i start a new project with AC, or could i integrate it in my current project?
For something that limited, I'd recommend just sticking with AC - it can handle Player stats like that just fine.
Integrating AC with other assets - particularly those that handle large aspects of your game - is a challenge and you will need to be well-versed in both assets involved beforehand.
If you're looking to make use of AC, I'd recommend starting out with just AC - and get familiar with how it works and what it's capable of on its own, so that you can be more sure about what - if any - any other asset you bring in will be needed for.
AC does have an inventory and rudimentary crafting system, but a combat system is outside of its scope as a traditional adventure engine. I'd expect that'd be where your focus would need to be once you look to bring in another asset.
Well, i'll have to think about the combat, even though i want it softened. Thanks for your advices. I might come back later, with more precise needs.
