Custom rich text tag removes text effect

Hello,

I have an issue regarding custom rich text. I hope someone out there can help me with it :)

I am trying to change the color of a single phrase within a subtitle.
I have inserted a <color> tag for that word, like so:
in an <color=#758ABA>unfamiliar land.</color> The

Unfortunately, that also seems to remove the outline-effect that is being applied to the rest of the words, as set up in the subtitle-settings of AC. See the result here.

Is there a way to avoid this from happening?

  • I will try to fix this in an update, thanks for pointing it out.
  • Okay, much appreciated.

By the way: There was also another issue i noticed, perhaps it's related:

When you use the fade transition for subtitles, the words with a custom <color> tag do not fade.
They just appear immediately and while at the same time the rest of the text fades in.
  • Thanks for the alert - though that may be more difficult to fix.  Know that you can always rely on a Unity UI for your subtitles, and link it to AC's Menu Manager - but I'll take a look at that as well.
  • was this ever fixed? i just used <color=green>Sit and work?</color> but now the texteffect around the text is all green too, rather than a blackoutline.
  • It's a Unity issue, so far as I can tell.  Perhaps ironically, it's fine with Unity UI.
