Hi all,
I was asking myself if it is possible to have an "idle" animation that plays only after a "while": only after, for example, 20 seconds that the player is completely still.
I tried to go the animator and make a simple transition. with an exit time, to another state, but since AC's standard 2D player animations are controlled in a different way, it simply doesn't work.
Now i ask the community: it is possible to get something like this?

Switch your character's Animation engine to Sprites Unity Complex - it works by using Animator Parameters for animation playback, meaning Animation transitions are respected.
See the Manual's "Character animation (Sprites Unity Complex)" chapter, as well as the provided "Brain2D_SpritesUnityComplex" player prefab for an example.
