Inventory not visible.
In the Recreating Unity's Adventure Game Tutorial , at this point : 
, the Inventory UI is changed in the inspector : Chris unchecks "interactable" under the canvas group's component. In the video , the inventory can be seen in play mode but can not be clicked on , however when I do it , the inventory does not show. Am I doing something wrong?

What time in the video are you referring to, and are you getting any relevant messages in the Console?
Let's see screenshots of your Menu's properties - both its entry in the Menu Manager, as well as the UI prefab it links to.
