How to brighten up a tint map (or tricks)

Hello,
I'm using AC 1.69.0 + Unity 2017.1.1 for a 2d games.
I have this little issue: on the most of locations Tint map is very good to darken the light and simulate some spotlights and shadow zones. But I have a couple of room where I have a open environment and, on the background a little fog to simulate the atmosphere. Now, when the character goes to this part of the location I need that he brightens up to conform with fog atmosphere, but tint map seems to work only to darken. Is there some trick?

Thank you very much.

  • The Tint Map works by changing the Sprite Renderer's Color field - which is pure white by default, so it's not possible to make it brighter. I suppose you could make the actual sprite brighter, and then darken it with a grey tint for normally-lit areas.

  • Ok thank you Chris, how can I brighter the actual sprite? Is there some options in AC? Thank you.

  • I meant the actual sprite graphics that you import into Unity.
