EndCutscene bug

When you press the EndCutscene input while running an action list that has "Is skippable" set to false and "Can run multiple instances" set to true, things get weird:
Try having two speech actions in such an action list, the first get's skipped but the second one doesn't.

I noticed this when using scene surviving action lists which seem to break under these circumstances.

Thanks for listening!

  • Please elaborate. Are you running multiple instances when this occurs, and is any other ActionList that is skippable running at the time?

As always, AC and Unity versions too, please.

    Unity: 19.1.12f1
    AC: 1.68.4

I'm not running multiple instances, but yes, the action list is triggered from an interaction that is skippable.

I finally found the combination that causes it reliably:

    1. Create an action list asset with "Is skippable" = false and "Can run multiple instances" = true.
    2. Add two dialog:speech actions in a row where the player says something like "one" and "two" respectively.
    3. Add an interaction on a hotspot with a ActionList:Run that points to the action list asset. In order to trigger the bug, set "Wait until finish?" = true
    4. When the interaction runs in-game, fire the EndCutscene and notice that "one" is skipped but not "two"
  • Recreated, thanks.
