If I was looking to build a primarily 2D game, but with 3D character models, would it be better to make it as a 2D screenspace or full 3D, as far as how AC works under the hood?
The main issue is when it comes to the render-order between sprites and models - I don't think Unity is able to mix them together in the same way it can change the render order of sprites. For that reason, I'd recommend World Space mode.
