Timeline doesn't see AC camera setting

Hey Chris:)

I've updated AC to version 1.66.1 because this version allows working with Timeline and AC cameras similar to Cinemachine. I really like to work with combinations of AC+Timeline+Cinemachine for cutscenes but Cinemachine gives some restrictions when I work just with AC cameras, especially when I am using camera switch mode with Cinemachine Brain turned on. So, I really like that you did this new update which is FANTASTIC!

However, when you are working inside Timeline and want to see the updates in real time, you can't see any AC camera settings which is very uncomfortable, because every time when I want to change something, let's say the position of the camera or target influence or anything else, I have to switch to my AC camera settings manually but this will force Timeline to switch back to the main camera view and I will no longer be seeing what I am doing in the Timeline in real time.

When I work with Cinemachine I can select camera inside Timeline and see all settings of this camera and control them from Timeline. Is there any trick that could help me to play with Timeline in real time and parallel have access to all AC camera settings similar to Cinemachine?

Actually, I did screenshots for you with explanations. I hope you can help me with this because I really want to use this new feature of AC 1.66.1.

I don't know how feasible that would be. However, you can lock the Timeline window to prevent it from disappearing when selecting another object.

  • Works like a charm! HUGE thanks Chris:)
