Crossfade Animation issue

Hi everyone, I have an issue with animation transition.
I have player animations based on sprite transform, checking Crossfade Animations should make transition between one animation to another smoother, but if I do that no animations plays at all. With Crossfade Animation unchecked all player animations work fine (just transitions aren't nice since they switch abruptly from one to another) 
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

    Bug recreated, thanks for the report.

    I shall look into fixing this, but know that for total control over 2D animation playback, you should use "Sprites Unity Complex" mode.
