Runtime Switching Between 2.5D and 2D

Hi, we're working on a game that uses 2.5D most of the time but has some scenes that have totally different graphics style and need to use 2D, including sorting layers etc, the inventory would be totally different, etc.

Would this be a nightmare to do with AC? And what would be the best approach to make this work? What concerns us is that some settings that decide navigation etc are part of the general settings for the whole game, and we're not sure how they can easily be changed dynamically, and if the main camera etc would get messed up.

  • The game's camera perspective can be set on a per-scene basis, before you organise the scene objects in the Scene Manager.  See the Manual's "Overriding perspective" chapter.

    As for changing Inventory etc, you can create a separate Menu with a different style and lock/unlock both of them as required using the Menu: Change state Action.
