2d sprite moving only left and right

Hey
This seems like an obvious thing to have happen (i.e 2d games are usually scrolling that only move left and right) but i'm trying to make a 2d isometric game. I have the character as a 2d sprite in AC but it will only move left and right, not up and down too. Is there something else i have to do?

As a very visual question, please provide screenshots to elaborate - as well as provide details of your AC/Unity version numbers and movement method.

A 2D character isn't bound to just left-right movement - try e.g. the 2D Demo game with the Movement method set to Direct.  You should find that you can move freely around the scene.
