Left-click deselect active item without walking?

I have checked "Left-click deselects active item" in Settings, and it does deselect my active item, however my player also walks to the destination of the click.

Is there a way to make it so that left-clicking while an item is active deselects the active item but doesn't make the player move?

That may be an issue, or something that should be made optional - I'll look into this further.

The player still turns in the direction of the click. Is it possible to avoid this as well?
