Interaction hover/click sound doesn't work?

I've set up sounds for the hover and click button of the 'use' interaction (also the 'look' and 'talk') yet they don't play when the game runs.

What can be the cause? (other sounds in the game DO work...)

Edit: pic only shows the 'click' sound set up.

The sound won't work if there isn't a default sound in a scene. So do you have a default sound in scene.

I had a sound game object set up in the scene, though I did not have it defined as a default sound.
