Save custom code in AC while update version

edited December 2017 in Technical Q&A
Hi
We made some code addtitons (for our characters made with Spine) bit now, when we update AC the newer file ovewrite our customized one. Maybe we can move our code somewhere where it can be safe for updating? Here are screenshpt of our lines:

  • If you want to save custom data on scene objects, you can write your own "Remember" script and it'll automatically be included in AC's save system - see this tutorial.
  • @ChrisIceBox no, here I'm talking about adding functionality so some AC components. For example, we added few lines to FollowTintMap and FollowSortingMap so they can work with Spine-based characters. But AC overwrites these files and our code too

You haven't shown what those changes are.  What exactly are you needing to do to FollowSortingMap / FollowTintMap?

It's likely best to find a way to have custom code written in a separate script and instead reference what's needed in ACs ones.  The Anima2D integration script does something like this: http://adventure-creator.wikia.com/wiki/Anima2D_and_sorting_maps
