Highlight Texture sorting on Interaction Menu Element

Hi.  Okay, so I have created a custom Interaction Graphic and positioned all the elements in my menu.

What I would like is to set the Highlight Texture graphic to be a slightly larger version of the default Interaction Icon so that when the player mouses over the icon, it appears to POP forward, clearly indicating it's selected state.

However, the Hightlight Texture element appears BEHIND the default icon graphic, ruining the illusion.  Is there a way to adjust the sorting layers of these elements?

  • No, but you can get around it by animating the icon in the Cursor Manager by supplying a multi-frame texture and adjusting the animation properties.

Since you just have two frames, you can place them side-by-side in a single texture.

Alternatively you could switch to Unity UI which allows you more control over the way your UI is styled.
  • Animating the icon works perfectly!  Thanks
