scene fades to black after switching.

this is a new issue with switching scenes within both the build and interface.
I set a scene to switch by name to a new scene, and the screen turns black.
any solutions?

  • Is it fading, or turning black instantly?  It should be the latter, and shouldn't have changed in any recent update.  If you want to have an instant cut (no black), check Overlay screen overlay during switch? in the Scene: Switch Action.
  • yeah it switches to black but never shows the next scene. even in the complete build.
  • Check the Console for error messages.  Is the next scene also an "AC" one, and listed in the build settings?

    Try adding the Demo game's scene, Basement, to the build and switch to that instead - what then?

    the console says

    Scene 'city' couldn't be loaded because it has not been added to the build settings or the AssetBundle has not been loaded.
    To add a scene to the build settings use the menu File->Build Settings...
    UnityEngine.SceneManagement.SceneManager:LoadScene(String, LoadSceneMode)
    AC.UnityVersionHandler:OpenScene(String, Boolean, Boolean) (at Assets/AdventureCreator/Scripts/Static/UnityVersionHandler.cs:351)
    AC.SceneInfo:LoadLevel(Boolean) (at Assets/AdventureCreator/Scripts/Game engine/SceneChanger.cs:749)
    AC.c__Iterator4:MoveNext() (at Assets/AdventureCreator/Scripts/Game engine/SceneChanger.cs:408)

    and i have added the scenes in build settings. It has'nt worked since an update after unity 5.5 f3 and AC 1.54c
