Disabling hotspots does not work

edited August 2014 in Technical Q&A
Hi,

I have a bottle on a counter. I defined a hotspot around it and a use action. When I hover over, the name bottle is shown, I click and the player will go take the bottle (hold) and add it to the inventory. So far so good and brilliantly easy!

Now I call Hotspot:Change interaction Use/Disable. This will indeed disable it and clicking on it does not have an effect anymore, BUT hovering over the now empty spot will still show the text "bottle". How can I completely disable the hotspot?

Cheers, Robert

    Hello Robert,

you can use the Object: Send message action in your interaction in combination with a Remember Hotspot (Script) component at the hotspot. In the Object: Send message you set the Object to affect to the hotspot object in question and the Message to send to Turn off.

    I hope this helps you,
    Julian
