Coding AC / Unity Scripts - Quick / Dirty Resource?

I'm not a coder, but I'd love to be able to know just enough about scripting / programming in AC / Unity to understand how to do simple things: Make AC interface with other plugins, alter AC defaults, and make other simple changes.

Can anyone recommend a particularly good but minimalist resource or course that might help? So many of the courses on Udemy and the like are the 'whole hog' of learning to program and I really don't think I need to dig that deep...?

Would especially love to be able to do more myself so that I don't have to bother all of you so much.

Let me know if any of you know of or went through something like this...!
