animating an object using action list not working?

I can't put the animation controller and clip in the designated field?

The animation clip is already hooked up to the animation controller and the animation controller is already hooked up to the sprite.

Try to assign the object with the animator from the scene/hierarchy to the field and not from the project folder. maybe its a referencing problem.
