Custom Player - Legacy Animations

Hello again,

I just imported a DAZ3D model, rigged it with success and I manage to make it animated using some free animations I found on the store.

Using an animation controller I managed to animate the model the way I want. It's pretty nice. But when I set the Player component to Legacy animation engine, and after setting for eg the first three animation slots (idle, walk, run) no animations occurs when the player is moving in the scene. It moves but stays in the T-pose. Note that I removed the Animator component and add an Animation component (with 0 set animations in it).

Any idea?

  • Ok apparently this is because the animation itself isn't Legacy but Humanoid. Hmm... I've to read some documentation.
  • Ok no problem, finally get this working using Mecanim and an animation controller with blending.
