Background of 2.5D game

Hi, I'm a little confused about steps to follow to prepare the scene.
I'm trying to porting a short game 2.5D made with Wintermute on AC.
I fully follow the 2.5D tutorial that works perfectly.
But now I want to create the game with option "one background per scenes" and I have difficulties to proceed.
At the end of the game wizard I see that by default the perspective Camera is set to 2D.
I have to leave it like that or I have to move it on 2.5D?
If I leave it on 2D it is not possible to set the background of the scene as in the 2.5D tutorial.
If then I drag the background image in the scene (as 2D game) and I put a plane the character becomes semi-transparent.
Are there brief tutorials or examples to achieve this kind of scene?
Thanks.

  • You can change your game's perspective to 2.5D after you've used the New Game Wizard - all settings that makes for you are just to get you started quickly, but nothing's set in stone.  If 2.5D is best for you, go with that.
