Different localization option for Voice and text

Can I have different options for text and speech in my game?
Right now I only have English voices but i want to include text translations for more languages.

Or alternatively - play English is no other language's voice is present?

  • If you uncheck Speech audio can be translated? in the Speech Manager, then only text will be translated - your voice files will remain in the original language.
  • I assume i need to move all the voice files back from English folder to Speech. 
    Does that work if i disabled the default language?
  • Yes, it will.  If you do not translate speech audio, the voice files will not expect a translation even if the original language is not used.
  • What about he following scenario:
    I have two voices , say English and German, but have text for all five EFIGS languages.
    Is there a solution for that? Ie if there is voice file in the localized folder, play the sound from the default language speech directory ?
  • Do you mean "if there is no voice file in the localized folder"?
  • For example if there is English and German voices.
    And Italian text. But no Italian voices folder
  • So a fallback option, basically.  I'll add that as a option in the Speech Manager - if a translation has no audio, rely on the default instead.
