Conversation pause

Hi, 

How do I ensure that when a conversation is started, any previous path node dialogue is instantly stopped, and then resumed once the conversation is finished?

Is there an easy way to do this without putting in the commands to kill and then run the path/looped dialogue within the conversation options?

  • Use the ActionList Editor to build the Conversation - check Override options? in the Action, and you can wire up all your options there in the same window.
  • Sorry, where is Override options? I don;t see it in the action?
  • Plus I have a conversation, and when on one of the options, I chose Stop, it pauses then goes back to the options again, how do I ensure I am done with the conversation/
  • Override options? is in the Dialogue: Start Conversation Action.  It was introduced in v1.42, in case you need to update AC.

    Otherwise, you stop a Conversation by choosing Stop as the option's When running field - make sure this is the one in the Conversation Inspector, rather than the DialogueOption ActionList itself.
