Navmesh not showing up in game view

edited June 2014 in Technical Q&A
Hello all,

Just got started with the AC and really having fun.
I am following the older youtube tutorials and am currently on video 17: making a 2.5d game.

Having restarted a dozen times now, I simply cannot get the navmesh to display in the game window. It is visible in the scene and camera preview, but cannot use the game window to line it up, which for future projects not knowing the transform details, would be a real problem.

Here is a pic of what I mean.

One thing I noticed that was different from the tutorial, was that hitting the "set as active" button, does not place the maincamera inside the Cam1/2 - only alters the view. I have tried manually dragging it into the Cam as a child but still will not work.

Whether it is relevant or not, there is an error warning at the bottom reading

"NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

Is this a known issue / outdated  - are there any other 2.5d tutorials about?

Thanks in advance and fantastic work on this toolkit!
