[SOLVED] Disabling Inventory/Menu

I read it somewhere on here but I can't seem to find it now, but how do you disable/enable the inventory/menus? 

For example, I have a title screen and I don't want the player to be able to bring up the inventory during that scene.

The two ways I know of are:

1) Check "Pause game when enabled" on the Game Editor Menu window.

2) Create "Menu: Change state" Actions, follow the steps on the bottom of this page:
