Creating buttons to navigate predefined positions and next area button

edited March 2014 in Technical Q&A
Hi.

Some of the scenes we are developing has long coridors and some tight spots which makes clicking on the "ground" kinda imposible.

I was wondering whether would it be possible to assign some objects on scenes, when clicked on will send the character to predefined coordinates on the map.

Also, can we create a next area button like when we scroll to the edge of the screen it will change the mouse to a direction sign and will send the character to next scene

Thank you

  • It's possible to do the things you want in AC:

You can place a marker where you'd like your character to go. Then you can have a hotspot somewhere else where the default action is to walk to the marker you placed.

You can use the cursor manager to define an exit cursor. Then create a hotspot and use the exit as default interaction. Then create an Engine: Change Scene action in that interaction.
  • Alright. Thanks for the heads up.

It was really easy to find and implement! :)
