Is rain incompatible with AC or does playmaker just work better?

PlayMaker has integration with AC, Rain does not.  However, aside from the ability to link PM variables with AC ones, most of the integration is done in Actions.  Custom Actions that connect AC to any asset can be written - see this tutorial.
