Triggering Legacy Animation for an Object.

Hi,
May be this is simple setting .

I created  legacy animation for a door. and placed in the level. I kept a trigger and added a action to play it while its interacted. But the triggered Animation Shift the door to the origin point and then play the animation.

Can u tell me this noob how to do this.

(this problem ll arise in character legacy animation also i think, but still havent tried.)

  • can any one please answer my question. I am kinda stuck :/ pls help
  • Don't worry @RajeeshRajee, your questions will always get answered.

However, we'll need to see/know more about what you're doing before we can help.  Does the animation play properly when you preview it in the model's Inspector?  What else is going on in the Trigger?

It's not clear if this is an AC-issue or one to do with using Unity.  If you're just getting started with Unity and it's animation system, Unity's got some good tutorials and documentation you should definitely check out.  Also know that AC's 3D Demo relies on Legacy animation, so it gives some good examples on how to use it.
  • Hey thanks for the reply ! Actually the animation is playing properly in the preview in the origin. so in the game level the door is kept at a place which is not the origin. so when its triggered in the play time.

The Door shifts to the origin of the view port and plays it.

I found a way to resolve this is to keep a marker at the place where i want the door animation to be played and before the trigger action to play the animation, i kept object teleport to marker. Its giving the result i need but i don't know whether thats the proper way.
  • It doesn't sound it, but if it works, it works!  I do think it's likely an issue with your animation setup, rather than AC, but at least things are working now.
