Switching between AC and Dialogue System mid-conversation

Hi,

I'm currently having a conversation with someone at Dialogue System (http://www.pixelcrushers.com/forums/topic/trouble-displaying-a-variable/#post-3856), but wanted to ask a more AC focused question.

I know my way around AC, but need to use the light-weight Dialogue System for my conversations. The trouble comes when I need to access AC functions mid-DialogueSystem conversation. I'd like to return to using ActionLists so I can animate my characters and cameras.

I know this technically is possible within Dialogue System, but I'm struggling to make it work. I'd prefer to just use AC for variables, animation and cameras during these conversations.

How do I make this happen?

  • To make it work within Dialogue System, you'll have to ask the author.

Calling ActionLists outside of AC in general, however, is done by calling their "Interact" function through script.  Section 12.7 of the manual covers this and many other common functions.
  • Thanks Chris.

Tony from Pixel Crushers is being very helpful.
