Blendshape index - Physics Example

I am trying to understand how the Blend Shapes work with AC.

 I opened Brain in Blender and it had the following Shape Keys : Basis, Phenome0...Phoneme4, ExpressionSad, ExpressionHappy. In AC in the Shapeable Script you set up two groups of Phenome and Expression. For example Expression > Happy had a key label of  Happy and BlendShape Index of 0, Phenome 0 had a Key label of Phenome 0  and blend shape index of 2.

I am a bit confused on how the Blend Shapes in the model from Blender are referenced in AC.

  • I just found the new tutorials, and looked at the one on animating facial expressions. I believe the order listed in the BlendShapes listed in the mesh rendered , becomes the BlendShape index referenced in for each shape key in the  Shapable Script.


  • Yes, that's right.  Once the Blendshapes are defined in the Shapeable script, the idea is that you don't have to remember their indices again - you can just use pop-ups from now on.
