Noob question: How to play two actions at once in a cutscene?

Perhaps I'm missing something very basic here but I've looked over the manual and tutorials and can find nothing on this. Is there a way to play two actions at once during a cutscene? For example: Play a sound and shake the camera at the same time?

Im still learning all this but think if you mark something as Play In Background, it will play and then immediately continue to the next action.

Ahh! I see, some actions have that option and others have "Pause until finish". That seems to work, thanks WillG!

I was hoping there was some way to use the action editor to draw lines to multiple actions, or group actions together to be able to tell at a quick glance that those actions are played at the same time.
