Yugostatic is a feeling that this is all a dream, and that when we wake up, it will be early 2000s again.
It is also a mysterious branch of Yugoslavian secret service dealing in paranormal.
Most importantly, it is an old-school point & click adventure game inspired by the greats of old.

Here's a couple of screenshots from my first solo game, still in development. Steam page coming soon.

In the 2000s I worked as a comic book creator in ex Yugoslavia, getting some awards for humor in them. I stopped making these panels around 2014, and started working, on and off, as a designer and developer on educational mobile games. I bought Adventure Creator last year, as an incentive to try and do this, but ultimately six months ago I decided to quit all my hobbies and start a new one - making a game I would love to play.

Yugostatic is inspired by the greats of the genre - Lucas Arts classics for it's humor, Blackwell series for the pacing and Drifter for the "never waste player's time" mentality, but also a lot of Ex-Yu cinema and TV for the atmosphere, and Borges, Piranesi and House of leaves for the underlying labyrinthian mystery box themes.

Chris, thank you for this asset. It was, and is, a complete joy working with it. It gives me a chance to go back to my old craft and enjoy software development after long days of doing the vibe-slop-developing or whatever this job has turned into. Not only that, but i returned to illustration and music as long-abandoned hobbies of mine. It made me a happier man.
