Whirlight – No Time To Trip | A point & click adventure made with Adventure Creator

Hi everyone!

I'm Ciro from imaginarylab, a small Italian indie studio. We’ve released our new point & click adventure, Whirlight – No Time To Trip, and I thought it was about time to share it here!

Whirlight was made with Adventure Creator for Unity, which has been a huge part of our development process. We’ve been using AC throughout the whole project, from interactions and inventory to conversations, puzzles, cutscenes and all the other little things that make a point & click adventure work.

And a special thanks definitely goes to Chris. We’ve asked him an almost embarrassing number of questions during development, and he has always been incredibly patient and helpful, even when our requests were probably a little outside the usual AC workflow.

So, after several years of development, here we are!

About the game

Whirlight – No Time To Trip is a comedic, third-person point & click adventure inspired by the classic LucasArts games we grew up with, especially Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island and Sam & Max, with a bit of Back to the Future thrown into the mix.

You play as two protagonists:

Hector, a slightly eccentric inventor living in the 1960s, and Margaret, a young artist from the 1990s.

After a rather bizarre encounter, they discover a way to travel through time and end up jumping between different eras in an attempt to prevent a catastrophic future.

There are puzzles, strange characters, questionable inventions, time travel, lots of locations to explore and, hopefully, a fair amount of laughs along the way.

We’re a very small team and this has been a pretty long journey for us, so it’s great to finally be able to share the finished game with the Adventure Creator community.

Thanks again to Chris and everyone behind Adventure Creator. It really helped us turn what started as a rather ambitious idea into an actual game. :)
