Adding Input System Integration to Existing Project

In a previous project I have the Input System package working though I don't remember how I managed to set it up. I am trying to use the Integration package in my new project via using the new game wizard and selecting modify existing, but when I press create on the input system template, I get this message:

Error
The Wizard failed with the following error:
No Input Actions asset assigned

I do actually have Unity's default Input System_Actions assigned in the project settings though, so I'm not sure what the issue is here.

Comments

  • This isn't referring to the project settings - but the Template's Inspector.

Re-importing AC's Templates folder from the Package Manager may be enough to resolve this, but you can also do so manually by locating the Template_InputSystem file, enabling Debug view, and assigning the Controls asset in its Inspector.
