Hello! I had a quick inquiry about how saved games might be affected by Steam updates for users. I'm sure large changes would mess with saves, but here is my specific scenario:
Would updating an interaction in a scene that toggles a dialogue option mess with anything? Or how about updating an interaction that toggles a Hotspot? If I were to publish those changes and a user updates the game, could they expect their save to be corrupted?
Sorry if it is a vague question, just trying to get an idea of what does/doesn't mess with saves. I'm sure it mostly depends on the project though.
Thank you for any insight. Using AC 1.81.7

I wouldn't expect a save to become "corrupted", but I'm not 100% clear on the specific change you're referring to.
By "updating an interaction that toggles a Hotspot", do you mean the Interaction previously did not affect the Hotspot, but now it does?
Sorry for the delay in response. And yes as an example making a minor change in an Interaction that disables a hotspot, just trying to get a feel of what I could/could not change and expect a previous save to still be playable.
I'm sure referencing an object that was not present in the save/game before the update would lead to problems. It seems though from my testing that editing ActionLists in and of itself doesn't cause any problems. Thank you!
