Some QoL suggestions for the ActionList Editor

Hi,
some things I noticed and ideas I got working a lot with long actionlists recently. Just pick the ones you think are relevant ;)

  • if you select multiple actions (by dragging a selection box), actions with a color assigned do not get highlighted and you cannot see if they are selected or not. Not sure if that is true for all colors, it certainly is for cyan though.
  • actions should not overlap (as much) when pasted, especially not when you use paste after or duplicate after . I need to reposition every one of them manually, because they block important parts of the previous action.
  • Auto arrange (I tried to describe these as best I can. If its not understandable, I can try to make some screenshots to illustrate):

    • the algorithm should use more or larger colums to represent branches with sub-branches better. If I have branch A and branch B, and A splits into A.1 and A.2, it should keep them together better and not try to force everything into two columns, where A.2 ends up below B.
    • The last action (that ends with stop) should always be below every other action. Generally, Actionlists should flow better from top to bottom and actions that come after other actions in the logic path should not come out next to them.
    • If one action is below another, there should be a way larger gap when they are not connected than when they are connected. Right now, it is really hard to see breaks in the flow.
  • groups could get comments, colors, naming

  • the boxes of groups jump around like crazy when zooming with the mouse wheel. They jump back into place when you click somewhere, but it is still very confusing to look at.
  • maybe some different shapes for actions of different categories? Or filter options, like greying out or highlighting certain types of actions? For example, I would like an easier way to find real logic parts (like setting variables and stuff) in big conversation actionlists without marking them manually. For example, give variable actions a hex shape, actionlists actions a more rounded one, dialoge-related stuff square and so on.
