Hi all,
I am very beginning in this assets. I am very confused, why people want AC work with assets like Dialog system, Quest Machine, Fungus, unity visual scripting and Playmaker...??? Some one also used Yann Spinner, Ink... My question is why???
Which assets really do something that AC can not do?

It's a mix of lots of things - experience / preference with other assets, but it mainly comes down to the needs of your game. I'd say when it comes to other assets, it's more a case of "you'll know if you need it".
It's easy to get overwhelmed with the assets available, and integrations are necessary to get different assets working together properly.
AC is an all-round tool for traditional adventure games. If that's what you're making, AC should be enough in most cases.
Particularly if you're just starting out, I'd recommend sticking with AC. It takes a bit of time to get a handle on what it's capable of and how it works.
@ChrisIceBox Yes, I'm really feeling overwhelmed by all the assets I've got. But honestly, the biggest issue is that I still have no clue what kind of game I want to make. A friend of mine, who's a manga artist, asked for my help, and I was thinking that a point-and-click game could be perfect for telling a manga story. Plus, it gives us the chance to throw in some fun gameplay mechanics too! So I will stick with AC.
@connygy In the case of my team, we are using the Pixelcrusher Dialogue System in tandem with AC because Dialogue System is an excellent bridge between AC and Articy, letting us write out all the narrative parts of the game in Articy and then export it to Unity and have AC handle the logic. We personally love this setup and it has been a great help in pushing the development of our game!
That being said, it is like Chris said: You will know if you need any of those third party tools for your game - AC already offers so many tools out of the box!
Thank you, @ACV, for your response and the real-world example! I'm currently in the process of learning about all of this. My story is still quite brief at the moment, and I believe that AC should be able to manage everything for now. However, I may consider changes in the future. Does your team have a webpage that showcases the type of stories you're working on? I'm very interested to see it!
