Manually Turning On a Mouse Over Menu

Sometimes, I need to manually turn on a menu with the Appear Type set to Mouse Over using an ActionList. Is there a way to do this? I’d really appreciate any guidance. Thank you in advance!

Two ways:

1. Using scripting, alter the Appear type field to Manual at runtime. See this tutorial for details.
2. Change it to Manual permantently, and instead have an invisible Menu of the same size set to appear Mouse Over. In this dummy Menu's ActionList when turn on, run a Menu: Change state Action to turn on your proper Menu, and vice-versa. You can then run additional such Actions to manually turn on the Menu at other times.
