Custom hotspot label for Inventory interactions only

edited July 2024 in Technical Q&A

I'm using a single-button interaction using descriptive hotspot labels like "Admire this book" or "Talk to man", and these work well for Use interactions. However, when I drag an inventory item over the hotspot, the combined labels become "Use Coin on Admire this book" and "Use Coin on Talk to man". Is there a way to define hotspot labels specifically for Inventory interactions while keeping a different label for Use interactions? Thanks!

  • You'd need to move the "Admire this", "Talk to" text to the Cursor Manager, listed under individual Cursor icons.

That way, you can have the Hotspot "book" rely on a Use interaction mapped to "Admire this", etc.

If you're using Context Sensitive interaction mode, the Cursor icon text will appear in front of the Hotspot label.
