Conversation Camera errors

When I try to apply the Conversation Camera template I get this error and it doesn't apply the template. Am I doing something wrong. It's a fresh project.
ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.

  • Welcome back, @GameJunkyMonkey111.

I can't reproduce this issue - what are your Unity and AC versions, and what is the message in full as it appears when selected in the Console (i.e. stacktrace included)?

It's worth noting that applying the Template is just a convenience - though applying makes it available in your Scene Manager, it's still possible to use manually by dragging the ConversationCamera prefab into your scene. This prefab can be found in:

    /Assets/AdventureCreator/Downloads/Conversation camera/Assets

  • I have everything up to date. And I did eventually just drag the camera into my scene but it doesn't do anything. No cuts. No animations. Just a stationary camera. It used to work on the older versions of AC.

  • Thanks for the details - I've recreated the issues.

I'll look into the installation issue - likely it'll require an update to AC itself.

To install manually, however, I did forget a step: you'll need to install the custom Camera: Conversation Action into your Actions Manager. This can be done by pointing to the template's "CustomActions" folder from the Actions Manager's "Custom Action scripts" panel.

  • That did it! Thanks man.
