Limit Visibility to Camera

I have an object with the following components:

  • Sprite Renderer
  • Remember Visibility, with "visibility on start" set to On.
  • Sprite Fader
  • Limit Visibility to Camera, where the scene's default camera is not listed.

Limit Visibility to Camera works wonderfully if you start the game in the scene, or if you switch from a different scene - the sprite will be hidden until we change to one of the listed cameras. However, if we save the game and then load it, the sprite will be displayed even though the selected camera (the default) is not listed. Switching the camera and back again makes the script work again.

  • I will attempt a recreation, thanks for the details.

    In the meantime, I'd suggest removing the Remember Visibility component, and just teleporting the object out of view if you want to it to remain hidden when the limiting camera is active.
