A Hotspot attached to the Player will be interactive in the usual way - so long as it's placed on the Default layer and has a Collider.
The only exception to this is if you're using Player-switching. By default, the active Player's Hotspot will automatically be disabled. You can prevent this, however, by unchecking Auto-sync Hotspot state? in their Inspector.
