I'm having difficulty getting the player character to remember footstep sounds, I'm switching them via triggers when stepping on different surfaces, but the changes persist on a loaded game.
For example when the character walks on wood, the sound is like walking on a wooden surface.
If I save the game there and then walk onto a grassy surface the sound changes.
If I then load the game the sound is still the grassy one.

In addition to attaching the Remember Footstep Sounds component, the sounds themselves will also need to be configured to be saveable. This is either a case of making use of Addressables, or giving them unique filenames inside a Resources folder.
