Hey Chris,
I've run into a strange bug with the UI I was hoping you could help with?
The setup is fairly straight forward- I have the standard AC menus that come included with the initial setup with some basic customisation (using TWD template).
After clicking New Game, I have an ActionList asset that turns off the title menu, unlocks and turns off the pause menu, and then loads the first scene- pretty straight forward stuff.
When the new game scene starts, it plays an in-scene OnStart ActionList which plays a timeline director. The subtitles for the cutscene are controlled via a timeline track. Up until today everything has been working perfectly.
However, I loaded up the project today I've run into a strange bug that I can't seem to find the cause of.
For some reason, after starting a New Game, the GameState is showing as paused and no UI elements are displaying (including subtitles) although the timeline is still playing away in the background.
When I hit the escape button both the pause menu and the title menu show at the same time. I have to hit escape a few times to open and close the pause menu, which eventually closes the title menu too.
Once the title menu closes- the game state changes to Cutscene, as it should, and the game proceeds.
I can't for the life of me figure out what is going on here. Nothing has been changed in the menus or actionlists and it seems to be occurring across all scenes- so it doesn't look like a scene-specific actionlist issue either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

Nevermind- fixed it.
Not sure what was going on, but I think there was an association issue with the Title menu in AC.
To resolve the issue I made a copy of the Title menu, deleted the original, and renamed the copy to Title.
It seems to have resolved the issue.
Welcome to the community, @Orbytel.
Strange-sounding issue. If it comes back, let me know your AC/Unity versions, as well as the properties of the Menus involved.
